I got a Savage Scout 11, came with a picatinny rail and peep sights.

Problem is even with see through rings- it blocks the peeps.

Any body else have this problem?

I have standard see throughs on the way may have to de-picatinny .

Has a flash hider that you can unscrew and screw on a suppressor, legal for hunting now in GA.

Jeff Cooper's Scout Rifle concept had the primary sights being the forward mounted, low powered scope. The iron sights were intended to be back-up sights, for use if the scope became damaged, and you took the scope off of the rifle. The irons weren't meant to be used with the scope in place. In the last few Scout rifles he had built, he used a receiver that had the rear sights fold down into the rear receiver ring until needed.

I had this and it was a great shooter--when you mount optics you just need med height rings (for most optics--I happened to have a Nikon 4-14x40) to avoid the open sights. I also like internal box mags as there is no chance of loosing mags and the expense for a 4-5 rd mag is kinda pricey. Mine was in .308 and was very accurate. Wish I still had it.

Here it was in Montana @ the range back in 2012:

and below here was a savage LE 10 I purchased in a plain jane black crap stock with no sights--I bought a Bell&Carlson stock, had open Williams sights installed and used a Burris Black Diamond 4-16x50 scope--that baby I REALLY miss--purchased in 2005 but had to sell when the economy went down the toilet.

Buff is right. The irons are strictly for backup should something happen to the scope.

I have the Gunsite Scout with a Burris 2.75 LER scope and quick detachable rings.
