1919 frame, 1913 era slide. HS barrel, Keyes grips, C-S marked contract mag, parkerized and in a 1943 dated M-3 leather holster.

Looks just like any of the ones in my arms room at Ft Lewis back in 1986.

Simply gorgeous! Thanks for sharing those pictures!
Gawd, how I love those old Colt 1911s.
Have you fired her?

Not yet. This time of year, by the time I get home from work it is already dark, and SWMBO has things for me to do on the weekends.

I really like this pistol. Feels like the one I carried around when I was assigned to be the armorer at HHC 109th MI Bn at Ft Lewis back in 1985-1987. Only difference was the shoulder holster I had was an M-7 and black.

oh, yes, only paid 850 plus tax for the pistol and holster at Cabela's of all places.

That's a beaut of a heart frame cut out under those grips!

If I am not mistaken, that S12 mark under the eagle's head does indeed indicate a Colt 1918/19 frame.

That pistola tells a great story.

Thanks for sharing.
