A LGS in my area has got a new SIG P226 on sale at $800.

It is a plain 226 Nitron in 9mm, with rail and 3-dot sights (no night sights).

Good offer ?

What say you ?

I would think that is a good price. The list price is about $1000 without night sights. I just paid $925 for a Mark 25 as part of a trade. It is my first Sig and so far I have been very impressed.

D P Six,

I got one over a buddy of mine. It is a P226 Nitron with SRT and night sights.

Paid $900 out the door for it. So far I love it, as it is very accurate and reliable.

Yep, put one on a 239. Still a little long.

I have been a lifelong revolver person so it hard to match the SA/DA pull of a good S&W but the Sig trigger is reasonably smooth and crisp and the short reset should improve the feel.

I have tried SIG's P series of service pistols with and without the SRT.

To me the SRT is the only way to go.

Other people might think differently about it, but......to each his own.
