I recently purchased a NIW HK 91 bayonet on GB. I found a Colt logo on the blade when I was inspecting it. It also has "Made in Germany" on the blade along with one other marking. I was not aware that Colt had a factory in Germany and that they made HK 91 bayonets. Is this real or did I buy a fake.
Any info would be great

I've got a Danish G3 bayonet like that, but no markings on the blade, maybe Eickhorn , will double check, but positive it does not say Colt like that....Did Eickhorn make M16 bayonets?....That is just weird.

Danish m/75 (AG3)--- weird on the "Colt" and "MADE IN GERMANY" markings!!! :)

Not sure, but it looks like a faker. At one time I had over 30 different HK and contract bayonets and none had a rough edged laser cut mount like the one shown. YMMV

Probably made out of parts left over after A. Eickhorn Solingen shut down. They made M7 bayonets with the Colt logo and G3 bayonets with the Danish HMAK marking.

Something like that would be my guess. I remember Colt having them made in Germany, and in West Germany prior.

Thanks for the info. Based on info here I think I got a pretty good deal at $45.00.
