In Shotgun News, Hunters Lodge is advertising the kit. Ad says 20 round 30-06 mag, GI issue barrel, GI stock and handguard, GI demilled stripped bolt and flash suppressor. Ad says build a hybrid M-14 30-06 rifle. Kit $146.88.

Any Idea what they may be, BM59? Anyone seen one or bought one?

What are they using for a receiver? Is an M1-a type receiver long enough for the extra length of the 06' cartridge? Or do they have to use an M1 receiver?

The ad is vague, it doesn't say anything about what receiver is used, but I would think a Garand receiver is used.

Hunters Lodge has a terrible reputation for selling junk.

Years ago, I bought a Swede M38 stock from them. I paid extra to get one with a range plate.

They sent me a M38 stock that had 1/2 of a range sticker, and an old 6" crack through the buttstock.

You may get lucky with them.

Hunters lodge is a shitty company. Not sure whether it is dishonesty, or ignorant indifference, but I had to go back and forth several times with them on some FN 49 parts. Yeah,it was 15 years ago. Yeah, I have a long memory.

Run, don't walk. Don't even think of buying from Hunters Lodge.

Foreign accents, I think they are a bunch of Gypsies.

Don't. Most assuredly a combination of M14 and M1 parts that they claim can be put together. Save your money, or look at Sarco for a BM59 kit.

YEA i was looking at that too and appears to be a very misrepresented ad.
Dont know what there selling but a demilled m14 bolt with roller is not rare..LOL.. as stated and also " if you were able to find the parts " line........but hey you will save thousands on the hybrid........

Horrible company, the only resolution to them not shipping a rifle I purchased was to call Amex fraud division.

Then my rifle got shipped next day air.

+1000! I stupidly bought a FN49 parts kit from them. Bunch o' mismatched, rusty junk. I think they're Russians or some such Eastern European types...

The fact they don't accept credit cards indicates they are a bit suspect.

I'd like to know how this company is still in business. Let this thread be a warning to anyone even thinking about spending money with this company.
Like stated by others, RUN, don't walk.
