Both are the same price.

-Polish Radom in mint condition with accessories
(demilled grenade launcher, sight and rubber buttstock cover)

-Selected used Russian production (not Ishevsk)

It's going to be a wall-hanger...

Which one would you take?

Thanks! :)

For the purpose of a wall-hanger I'd have to go with the Russian example...classic original and no goofy buttstock cover.

For a wall hanger I'd want the Polish. It's milled. It's got the rare grenade launching accessories. All you'd need is a demilled grenade to complete the package.

Thanks, those are exactly the reasons why I'm in doubt :)

I don't know much about AK's, I only want one for the collection
so that's why I asked over here.

I can get everything from Suhl production, Bulgarian, Romanian,
training rifles with indentations in the barrel, folding stocks, ...

But these two got my attention. :)

Take wife out for an expensive dinner and then let her see them.

Oh you're in Belgium. That explains the third pin for full auto. Over here those would be $20000-$30000 since only a small fixed number exist that are transferable to individuals.

Get the Radom--nice homage to the Polish people, who arguably were the first to successfully stand up to the Sov bear.

Citing the hard choice, chance, and opportunity I would work toward acquiring them both....

I like the bottom one. Sweet grenade sight, and a milled a receiver.

But to be strictly as a wall hanger? I dunno... the top one sure does look nice...

tough choice, and I'm of no help... sorry.

So, picked up the AK this evening :)

Think it's the smallest and lightest firearm that's in my safe :D

it's about 30cm shorter than the FAL and Mausers and stuff

I've never seen an AK irl so I always tought they were bigger :D

But it's more fun to handle I think

I'll post some pictures tomorrow ;)

They are light handy rifles. Easy to use, clean and reliable.

That's what she said. :D

They are nice, light, reliable, and easy to operate and maintain carbines with lots of hard-earned street cred. Yes, they do not have the 1mm accuracy at 100km the AR supposedly have, but their operational history seems to hint they can do their job very well. No household is complete without one.
