I saw them in service with the ROK in Afghanistan about 5 years ago.

Daewoo is into everything from electronics/appliances/automotive even ship building. Like an all in one manufacturer if you will, although I believe they may not all be the same exact company.

Perhaps a feeble attempt to keep it secured to the table...so it doesn't walk off with someone and show up at a bar in the hotel that IDEX is held

"WooSaw"?
"WooLmg"?
"WooBrrrrt"?

I guarantee at least one bottle of Soju was KIA in that marketing meeting.

It's a SAW but not a SAW. A weapon made to circumvent the patents on the minimi...the predecessor of the SAW.

A quick convo with the man from DRP (none dare speak his name) indicates that there are about 50 in the country. He's seen this one, and wants it. However, he did tell me that they have zero parts which also fit the SAW. Apparently he had one at one time and it was an extractor eater. Extractors had to be made from scratch at a machineshop. Expensive. Other than the links, belt boxes and ammo. No parts interchange between this gun and the Minimi or M249.
