So the spousal-unit surprised me with a Zastava 5.56 PAP M85 NP 10.5" pistol for my birthday. Took it to the range and ran 300rd.s through it with several different brand mags and no issues whatsoever. That said, I think I would prefer it as a carbine. I know it's possible to fit a wood or side folding stock, but what about welding on an extended booster to get the barrel length to 16+ inches? Has anyone here done this? If so, what extended booster have you used? I know CNC warrior makes a Bulgarian 'trash can' that's 4.7" but that will still be too short. Any suggestions?

Just SBR it. It's easy, and by the time you get done f'n around trying to stretch the barrel and lose all the handiness of the the short barrel, you could have it set up the way it was intended to be. Seriously. :fal:

Then the spousal unit has also provided you a convenient reason to move.
