Todd Green's been working on this for a while. He's referred to it as "The Gadget" for the longest. It's now billed as a "striker control device".

External hammer pistols (DAO or De-cocked) can be holstered with action hand thumb on the hammer to sense when the trigger is unexpectedly moving. Important if a foreign object makes its way in the trigger guard when holdering.

The Gadget gives Glock users a similar interface. Very nice for that carry position known as Attempted Incapacitation of Whitey's Balls.

Someone hit his minimum funding number right out of the gate.

Used to be called a "thumb safety." They sorta' work.

I don't get it. The Glock is good because it's simple, ugly, and it works (like me!). Adding more parts doesn't make it better.

But more power to you if you want it -

What a useless, superfluous, mind numbingly stupid, "Lets make something the bed wetters will like", piece of crap...

Anyone that believes this is an Improvement to the Glock's design is an ignorant fool.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

For those who handle Glocks *a lot* such as re-holstering in and out of detention/interview areas, those who must holster one-handed quickly or want additional safety with AIWB it makes a lot of sense.

For everyone else that can take their time once a day or just at the range, yeah it doesn't apply.
