Hi folks,
I'm personaly an FN collector. Yesterday i went for some FN FNC scope and the seller asked me if i could sell his ZF41/1 scope. He is not internet minded.

The scope is fully funtional and works fine.
The sniper scope is nicely boxed in its case and has the 2 sunshadescovers.

I made some pics and if somebody is interested, PM me.
The price is 1200$ including registered tracking air prior mail.
Check my feedbacks if you have any doubts. Money back guaranty as always.

I'll ask him. I think you can just snap it on. It is a kind off long eyerelief scout scope.

as again, i'm only a FN collector, this guy is a German collector who happens to have some nice FN optics for me :D

You need a 98k with the zf41 base, it is mounted on the barrel forward of the receiver next to the rear sight. The rig Paco has then slides onto the base and locks in place. There may be reproductions available.

Glad to help out. That is a real nice rig you have there and you should have no issue selling it. There are more rifles than there are rigs, so I am sure there is someone out there with a 98k that has the zf41 base but no scope. You also have the can, which is cool. Originally the rifle, scope and can would all be numbered to each other and there would have been a small lens cloth in the lid.

Finding an all matching rig together is difficult, because most times snipers removed the scope if capture was imminent as they didn't want to be identified as being a sniper. Also, GI's commonly removed the bolt from captured rifles and tossed it, making it difficult to be readily placed into service again. That is why many bringback 98k's have a mismatched bolt.

You have the two sunshades, the condition of the scope and mount is exceptional, and the markings are sharp. Is the glass cloudy? This was common with the small zf41 scope. Can may have been added later, which would explain the condition being a little rough.

Good luck.

Guys: Thanks for the pics and info- Always cool looking at Mauser stuff. I was kinda hoping it could hook up on my Dad's bringback Mauser... it's been deerhunting with success and I think an original scope would be the tits. I learned that K98k original-condition early and have always kept at least 1 around, usually more.
My mountain rifle these days is a sporterised-in-the late-'40s-1938 8mm. I would not commit Mauser-icide but since it was already done well in a pretty classy Euro-style, I bought it after some lengthy pondering.
Is it likely that a zf41 mount can be retro-fitted to the rifle, or was that a manufacture-only variant? It would be nice to pass on Dad's real-nice condition (with bayonet and cleaning kit with original grease!) SCOPED Mauser to my boy eventually :) Some surf-shopping to be done.
