I saw a rear sight block once that was a Picatinny rail, cannot remember where it was. Anyone know where to find one?

I am not talking about the rear sight leaf, but instead about the part that presses onto the barrel. Any help greatly appreciated.

I had the stike industries rail. It would not stop moving. I was very disappointed. The screws are small and the physics are against them. I have no experience with attero but they look solid. http://www.atteroarms.com/optic-mounts/

I'm thinking that you would need to glue-down anything that gets installed as merely a replacement to the rear sight.

Go crazy with the JB Weld.

Guys, thanks for the responses, but the one I'm thinking of is pressed onto the barrel and cross pinned. It isn't the sight LEAF it's the BASE. This is also the part where the front of the dust cover fits into...

That would be neat. Never seen one. Keep us informed. Maybe it was custom? Could it have been a steel picatinny rail welded to the rsb?

Look up the KOP rear sight base. It's a sweet setup.

Thanks Drtrumpet, for the link to KOP. That looks like what the OP is asking about. It's certainly peeked my interest.~ss:)

It's a great setup. I'm going to do one on an m95 build with the idea of mounting an acog on it.

Installation will require the barrel be stripped and the KOP ID altered to press fit to your rsb journal. The results are worth the extra effort.

There's also a Beryl rsb rail. But I think it would be way too tall... http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/BERYL-SIGHT-RAIL-VARIANT-A-152p1613.htm
