Got a new 2014 F150. The Electric Fan sounds like a jet engine when it
kicks in. Also getting old and if you wear reading glasses to see up close
you have a lot of trouble finding all the buttons all over everything.

Otherwise it runs like a scalded cat.

No I won't get one of those till they have any issues worked out.
They are quite proud of them too, this one was still about $35K.

What kind of mileage you getting? I opted for the 6.2L 2015 F250, as I use it as a truck. It is at 13.7 as of this morning, much of that towing substantial loads.

Fan noise isn't an issue on it. No major gripes yet except for the ride, and that was expected. Several small gripes... Tailgate has no strength, huge gap between bed and gate. Panels and bumpers don't line up well. AC is just adequate. Brakes seem like they hang up a little. Engine braking is vicious when CC is on(turning 5000 RPM in second to keep itself from speeding on a steep downhill).

We bought one new in 2011. V6 model with the big cab. Used as a family vehicle and some occasional light towing, its been rock solid for us.

I'm getting 18.5 avg. My wife's 2013 5.4 gets 16.2 but has considerably more
bottom end takeoff.

I got a 2014 f150 crew cab short bed with the 5.0 about a year ago. No issue with the fan noise. I get 17-18 mpg and am not a conservative driver.
