Are you looking specifically for older OEM 15-rnd magazines? IIRC, other than the +1 rnd capacity (16 vs 15) of the mag's that shipped with most B model pistols, there is no other difference between OEM B & pre-B pistol mags. When I had pre-B's ('78, '89, & '91), all with original 15-rnd mag's, and one of the Turkish contract overrun B models ('96?) that came with a 16-rnd mag, I think I was able to use the OEM mag's from these interchangeably. After trading off the B-model and replacing it with an '04 "retro" model (a B model with pre-B profiled frame and slide) that came with 16-rnd mag's, I think I was still able to use the 15/16-rnd mag's interchangeably between the pre-B's and the "retro". Others, including you, may have had experiences to the contrary though and this may not be true for aftermarket mag's. I would imagine CZ USA still has OEM 16-rnd mag's for sale. Check MP, I think someone had an ad in the MP for 2 16-rnd mag's a while back. I don't remember them being sold the last time I read the ad.

You will pay a premium for any older mags if you can find them.

The older ones i got were in the blue/white boxes and they all fit my older Pre-Bs.

Now if all you want is a mag or mags to fit and capacity is not an issue, you can buy and try some of the newer CZ/Mecgar mags.

i have bought enough of the newer Mecgar mags and have tried several of them in my older Pre-B and some of them have fit. Not all mind you and there were more that didnt than the ones that did, but its possible to find something that will fit.

the only issue is that if all you have is ONE CZ, then you will have to decide if you want to buy enough to weed the good ones out.

One other option if you have any gun shows/shops in your area and they would be willing to try each one in your gun and you just cherry pick the ones that fit.

Are they listed in the handgun section?

At the home page, select 'store', then 'CZ products' when that page opens, then 'pistols', then 'magazines'. I see they still have some left.

Are ther any visual identifiers between pre B and later mags?

Not that i would call 100%

Most of the ones i got all had a mat finish on the body.

But as i mentioned, you are better off taking your gun to a gunshow/shop and try all you can and go from there.

Where can I find the real high cap mags that hold 20 -30 plus rounds ?
I'm think of trying to make mine a full auto clone, with the mag holder for the forward grip.

Now if I could only find the internals.... purely for educational purposes !!
That 3 position selector switch markings sure look cool.

Try googling for hi cap CZ mags

The only ones i know of are aftermarket. Don't know their fit/funcition. IIRC, CZ had some FS at one time.

Careful what you write. Adding a second pistol grip can get you in trouble. Talking about it here can very probably get you in trouble as well.

You think I really care ?
If, yeah, IF, I could find the parts and somehow made them work, good luck finding me out in the middle of nowhere, minding my own business, enjoy my constitutional right, of the pursuit of happiness.
I'm getting old, I'm a vet, I signed a blank check, to include my life to this country. If some dickweed, has nothing better to do than hassle me while I have a massive hard on, that no overdose of viagra could make, playing with a fun toy, I would say that's pretty chicken shit, and one person who cannot understand a little thrill to liven up an old guy.

I'm sick if what this great country has been lowered to.
I don't fear "them".
Talking and doing are 2 different things. If I go about doing, it's my business. If I'm bothering no noone, leave me alone.

okay, rant over, pain pill making me goofy !

Brian,
Under the angled fore grip being legal, I think this falls under legal in semi only mode.

I have found some of the witness line of mag work as well. I also like the megar mags. They work in my turkish CZ clone as well as the my 75b. I have an old TZ-75 as well and the mags are interchangeable.
