Does anyone remember the type of ammo that the Bundeswehr used for these rifles? In my opinion it would either be 147 grain or 175 grain.

Thoughts?

In the 70s, it would probably have been 147gr NATO ball. Th US had the M118 Match and Special Ball during this time (173gr), but I've not heard of it's use outside of the US military.

I would imagine some type of Hirtenberger or RWS ball or match round of that era or maybe some other german made ammo. I'm just guessing here but being the G3SG1 is made in Germany I would assume the ammo would be as well.
