At one time or another I have owned about 20 diferent types of Mausers, the one that was the oddest (or most uncommon) was a .30-06 similar to the columbian rifles but was marked Armee De Haiti with the Haitian crest on the receiver, overall it was in good condition and like a fool I traded it off many years ago :(
Have an Argy FAL so had to have Argy Mausers too - 1891 rifle and 1909 Short Rifle (aka engineers carbine)

I have a couple arg 1909's, only ones with hinged floor plate.
supposedly superior actions for rebuilding according to gunsmith I know.
2 Swedish Mauser. now those are sweet. I've never fired a bolt gun as smooth as the Swedish Mauser let me tell ya.
Arg 7.65 avail.

I've got an Argentine mauser as well- model 1891. The ammo is 7.65 Belgian mauser or just 7.65 mauser. Surplus was around a while back, but scarce and spendy. Also some concern over these shooting heavy loadings. Not as strong as a '98. Have yet to load mine up, but the best deal is supposed to be loading your own using fireformed 30-06 or .270 brass and keeping the loads moderate. The 1909 is a stronger action based on the '98, thus not such a concern for limiting the loads.
Yes, they are 7.65. Embarrassing, but I've not yet fired either of these ('91 or '09) since getting them a year ago, although I've been to the range since then.
Springfield Sporters has milsurp ammo cheap. So do other sources. On the boards you occassionally hear bad things about hot-loaded 7.65, but I can't offer anything definitive.
I do plan on firing both of these.
Argentine, Persian, Chilean, Peruvian, Spanish, Czech, Yugo, Belgian, Polish, Jap, 03-A3. they are all nic to research and fondle. Got my first Fal reciever in today. What next?

I bought my 2 arg 1909's on gunsmith advise. May be worth something in future. Ammunition store.com did have arg 7.65 but its not on their list anymore. I bought a couple hundred rnds a while back they shoot nice. but the Swede's are nicer.

I like the 1891 Argie carbines, handy and great sound, I also have a 09 long rifle that is smoother than any of the Swedes that I have handled. For unique, what about the Portugese Vaquero(I'm not sure on spelling there), all the ones I have seen were a little on the rough side but they are half mauser and half something else. Also, what about the Persian 29's, they sure are beautiful but long and heavy.

Ditto on the OVS 95 jwaters, I had a chance at one 22 years ago and had to pass.
As far as other variants go I have a couple of Siamese stashed, a Costa Rican, lots of Mex. 1910, and a couple Mex 36, the usual VZ 24's and 22's, G33/40,some gewher 98's from the first big one, and some I haven't seen in years, cuz I ain't been to the back of the gun room lately. Also have one of the Peruvian 1935's with the backwards safe, interesting. Did I mention the Brazilian 08's or the 93 Oviedo with the serial of 123?
Course I'm not really a mauser kinda guy, just have them for a rainy day.

Just got an M24/47 today. Evidently a Yugo rework of an FN or BRNO weapon.

Gee, 7idl, you must need some stronger glasses.;)
No, I was trying to see if I could get two photos in one post and ended up with two of the same pictures. I fixed it just for you.:D
When I got this, someone had already saved me tons of time and effort. The stock has already been stripped, so when it gets it's refurbishing, I can just do some light sanding.
I do need a cleaning rod for it if someone has a line on any.

I've got a Spanish FR-8 in 7.62 mm. It's a real blast to shoot.

Got a Syrian, I like to keep it in the safe right next to the Israeli Mauser. I figure they've met before.
How about a FN 1924/30 Export with the giant FN logo?
