Man..the custom wood on this is obnoxious. Is this a VZ 58 pistol or a rifle that someone bubba'ed the wood on?

That is. They are great little guns. You could easily replace that hideous "gangstah" wood with something more practical.

looks like standard barrel length for rifle. removing the folding buttstock is just one big slotted screw.

Looks like a standard VZ58 with the horrid wood added. If you can get it for less than $1,000.00, if you want a VZ58 I would go for it. One exception is that it has to be a real Chech VZ not a Century.
There is a guy in Chechoslovakia that is selling New Old Stock beaver poop stock and forearm pieces, just got some for mine and they are as new. I also got the folding stock for it from the same guy. The guy is selling his stuff on EBay. It takes awhile to get here but it will show up and worth the wait.
