Read the note on the cover. I got this one with the accurizing package already on it.

I also had an SAR-8. Springfield sold two flavors. One was made with an EBO Greek receiver and is considered the full equal of an HK. The other one was built with a Williams aluminum receiver with a picatinny rail integral to the top. These were called "Alumabombs". Mine was an Alumabomb. I bought it unfired in 2009, shot maybe 100 rounds and ultimately sold it a couple years later. The Greek receiver SAR's are keepers.

Ahh - No. The one sold with the extruded aluminum receiver was made by Coonan for FAC inc and the parts kit front end (including receiver stub) was pinned into the new receiver with two roll-pins. From a technical standpoint, all the business occurs inside the trunion so not really a safety issue, just FUGLY.

The aluma-bomb was an aluminum FAL receiver made by Williams Arms Company. Beautifully machined , just inappropriate material.
