Very impressive mods made to the old pig....She keeps on rockin. The Danish Armed forces have adopted the US Ordinance Version of the M60 E4:

A lot of people hate the M-60, but I never had a problem with
the thing during live fire of many thousands of rounds, and an
equal number of blanks during war games.

I "shot" down a Cobra helicopter during an ARTEP with an M-60
one time. The grader came up to me and said I dumped enough
rounds into her that she was a casualty.

I loved that weapon. I could get it to make single shots.
Nothing was safe inside 1000 meters.

Man I miss that gun.

A buddy of mine had a M60 and I loved shooting it from either offhand, hip or prone.

I didn't realize there was an E6 version:

I was a '60 team leader back when it was a crew served weapon, and people knew what a T&E and a defilade were. Not this one man Rambo shit. Once I learned her quirks, she was fine.

There's no such thing as a left-handed 60-gunner.

I'm taking the picture, that's my buddy Chris, hamming it up. Other than being 5" taller than me, I guess with a goatee we look similar.

Judging by the cement blocks,he's over 80 inches tall, and he's crouched.

Perspective, I guess.

I think he's 6'4", but his son is over 6'10"

I carried the pig back in the early '70s. It was a match made in heaven. I've been trying to get a semi for several years but just get beat out on the $. I'd love a FA but the legal and $ issues aren't a long task I'm willing to take on.

They'll fit the MG3 I haven't built yet.

But generally, no. Max of $0.01/each. I've thrown 5 gallon buckets away in the past.

It was my understanding when the US Military began looking around at a new light machine gun the M60 actually went thru the trials with the least amount of stoppages, but we went with the M240 instead.
Politics..

I have seen the OP video - which has been around for several years now - and have seen nothing else to compare.

I trained with the M60 in 1969 at Ft. Polk, La., back "in the day".. and really liked it..

There used to be a M60 competition,in the USMC
I got to be the A gunner, got to carry spare ammo, tripod, barrel
After the gunner won 2 years in a row.
We were banned,,hated being just the A gunner.

Now my 203,could put those rounds in a barrel at 200yds ;)

The M60 is the reason I can't hear today. Thousands of rounds with no hearing protection. 1970 - We were issued one pair of earplugs in AIT which most of us lost within minutes. I never saw anyone using hearing protection from then on. Maybe I just didn't know any better, but I thought it was a great gun.

I just pick up a bunch of stuff to build a semi M60 but can't find semi rails, I know why neuter a pig, but I can't afford a FA M60. A friend of mine has a post sample M60 but I can even afford to shoot it.
