I was thinking about all the NFA firearms I would like to get (God willing) in the next 15-20 years. Here is what I came up with:

- Browning 1919
- SAR-48
- HK G3
- AC556
- Full size Uzi
- another M2 Carbine (registered trigger pack)
- Thompson M1A1
- 1918 BAR
- M3 submachine gun

What do the rest of you guys have on your NFA wish lists?

Brother, if I ever hit the lottery, I will have $20,000 wrapped up in the tax stamps alone :)

Either.

Several of the items on my wish list I'll most likely never be able to afford but I intend to give it a try.

I could be dead wrong but I though y'all could have Curio and Relic full autos.

I have a Jap 99 with 7.62x39 conversion coming. My next item should be a 1919A4. I have a semi which I will sell and I have numerous barrels and lots of spare internals, so it makes sense.

Nullification of NFA34 would be dandy.

An OWEN SMG and a BREN (any model) would be a good fit with my accumulation.

Full-size Uzi SMG.
Beretta BM59 - just because!

Lottery list - in addition to the above:
Swedish K
1919
Beretta 38A (might get one before the lottery - they're fairly affordable and RUN)
Thompson

In fairness, my father was an FFL/SOT when I was a kid, I probably put 100K rounds downrange before my 10th birthday...

+1 On the silencers.

I'm thinking more like M2's, a few Abrams tanks, and a APC...just to get the groceries.

I gotta ask.
How many countries do limit ownership of f/a and suppressors ?

I see many on TV that seem to not !

How bout central and south American countries ?

I do see many middle east and African countries that seem to show almost everyone with an AK or FAL, or many assorted machine gun/pistols, being carried around by just about everyone.

Me, I'd just like a suppressed MP5.

Have fired many f/a's, and for just plain usefulness , and fun, an MP5 does it.

Remember, ya gotta feed the beasts !

I don't know about more/less limits for most others on the FA question, but from what I have seen, most other countries encourage rather than hinder the use of suppressors for noise abatement.

just becareful that you don't shoot subsonic ammo thru MP5SD as
the 24 little holes in the barrel to slow down supersonic
will make a subsonic a spit ball.

They actually had a 147 HP subsonic bounce off a guy during a bust!

For me, I would have a few assorted suppressors laying around in a few calibers, nothing crazy. Then I would have a few SBRs.. An AK variant, an AR, maybe 2 at most.

As for the FA toys, well I think a Thompson is a must, but if I could have one... Just one... It would have to be a M240L. If I could get a 240B or 240G, that would be just fine, but the Lima is the NFA holy grail in my eyes...

Could have been worse...
If you have a guncollectorslicense, you have not much problems (or fees)
After 29 pieces you need to get a class G securetyroom, that's it.

Paco,

Is there a push to ban any kind or firearm in Belgium or is it pretty relaxed at this point? Do you think the laws will change for better or for worse in the future? How strong is the gun culture there?

I think it's fascinating to learn about gun ownership in other parts of the world. :)

I'm fighting the law personaly, no kidding, personaly.
They made a new law and it has words "all weapons made for military reasons need to be neutralised" they mean mortars, DD, launchers but with these words, a luger is also a militari pistol. The minister has changed recently and i'm trying to get it fixed (again). At this point our proufhouse can't neutralise cannons and so on, they don't have procedures...

Typical Belgium. Doing without communication or thinking. Emopolitics

I'm still waiting to get to the point of affording my first.

As mundane as it may sound, I want a plain old wood stocked Uzi carbine. Shades of Wild Geese ya' know? A M3 grease gun would be next on my list next, a Sterling then, a M2 carbine.

Just wishin'

Same here. Uzi first, m16, m11 lage setup maybe, and so on. I should have bought when I could 15 yeas ago! Now the pre dealer samples are ridiculous what the transferables was couple yrs ago. I need to find some cheap from someone who has more than they need and more money then they can think about to just adopt me,lol.

The thing about machineguns is they are only a thrill for the first 10k rounds.

I've owned G3s, 33s, 21s, MP5s, 1919s, uzis, STENs sterlings, etc. All fun. All cool, and then what? I've got a pair of PKMs which are probably the most militarily significant of the belt feds. The RPKS74 is probably most popular with the kids because it's so easy to shoot well. The Vickers Mk1 would have been the "coolest" but it was transferrable, as was one of my Uzis, and worth too much to keep - at least while I'm sitting on a dozen posties.

I am glad I turned down the Ma Duece as the guy who ended up with it can't afford to shoot it, and has no place to shoot it.
