The first old Smith looks like a Hand Ejector model...prob a Model of 1903 based on the SN and ejector rod knob. What's the latest patent date on the barrel?

Nice score and in good condition for its age, regardless!

I think the last patent date on the barrel is 1909 !
Its got its share of "spider web rust" and fine rust ,,its in perfect working order,,I gave $150.00 for it as a package of 3 guns not counting the money for the other 2 guns !

YES a plain old 38sw !
I was going to use it as a Beat around gun Because it was not in all that great finish condition... BUT Now that im doing some research it Might be old enough that I may not want to put more Mileage on it.. Other than the fine surface rust Its in perfect condition I even thought of sending it to S+W for a reblue -BUT I think that would cost more Than its worth. and a gun shop blue would devalue it even more,,

I dont Know what to do-First order find exactly what it is???

Anyway--I have gotten many suggestion on improving my Photo taking . Im going to play around today some more.Different lighting and back ground-Snow and cold ,,Nothing better to do !!

Hammer, ejector rod, and lettering.

I picked up one I tracked by SN and features to late 1920's.
