Bought another AK last week and I really like the looks of it. I don't have it in my hands yet cause I have to wait out the 3-day wait period. Here is a couple of pics.

There is no three day waiting period on long arms in Florida. Handguns only, unless you have a Concealed Weapons License and then it's cash and carry.

OK, I will comment on the rifle. There is alot going on there....but I really like the overall look of the thing. Please let us know how she handles and shoots!

Looks nifty.

Is it a collection piece, or is there an intended application for a .223 AK with a long thin barrel, iron sights, and a folding stock?

Aftermarket trigger of some sort, or standard AK staple-gun-with-kickback?

Counties can place additional waits in FL. Example, Martin County (where I live, no wait on long guns) cause they follow the State laws. You go 15 minutes South to Communist Palm Beach County, and there is a 5 day wait.

Tried fitting my Galil mags in the Saiga and they seem to lock up perfect. Kind of anxious to go shooting it along with my new L1A1. Has a metric front end on it and had to replace the rear sight with a metric.

Tried fitting my Galil mags in the Saiga and they seem to lock up perfect. Kind of anxious to go shooting it along with my new L1A1. I also tried fitting AK74 mags and they didn't lock in so I don't want to ruin them trying to make them work. As is I have four Galil and two Bulgarian mags to work with. Has a metric front end on it and had to replace the rear sight with a metric.

Dont ruin your 545x39 mags trying to get them to run in a 223 saiga. Be happy with your 6 galil/bulgy mags. You need a specialized follower for 545 mags to run and even then they are always suspect. At that point, why bother.

I replaced the M-16 style flash hider today with the new Iraq Tabuk flash hider and it really enhanced appearance. Still haven't got a chance to go shooting yet.

Dang, it's so hard to get to the range! 40 miles ones way! Got two builds that I need to shoot which is this one and a Yugo M76 8mm.

Would have stroke if range time that hard. Built indoor range at work because closest indoor facility is 17 miles and can't tolerate shooting something regular. Luckily back yard allows 75 yard range but if shoot more than 20 to 30 rounds feel like pushing my 20+ years of having happy neighbors. Basically can do initial testing on new handload or confirm a new gun functions as need arises. No legal issues or hazard, just with neigbor next to me shooting once a week and on other side once a month or so, between the three of use rifles fired about two days a week and that is plenty for a residential area. Dont count 22's as one of us zaps a squirrel or two almost every day.
