I have one on order with my LGS, cant wait for it to get in so I can SBR it.

Wonder what the bolt looks like? Should sell like hot cakes when they get into the mainstream. That price is incredible.

November 29, 2014, 21:52
Looks like a total through the goalposts for a win to me. Good for CZ, it looks great, the price is great, I'm sure like the rest of their stuff it will be accurate and will be reliable, so especially with the arm brace I think it's a winner. Kinda puts the overpriced MP5 clones in the shade big time.

The $20 Magazines are a great bonus as well.

I fired the full auto version at the factory in BRNO and it was great, very controllable. This will easily be the best weapon of its kind available.

Why do I find myself drawn to put a deposit down on one of these when its pretty close to the last thing I need. Continuing to view this thread is not helping.

December 27, 2014, 23:16
I know all the 89 import laws apply, but I'd love to see this in a carbine with a fake can or even an SBR.

December 28, 2014, 03:17
Waste of $900 unless you break the BS 922 law and put a stock on it.

i do not see the utility. just get a glock.

I have an order in with my LGS and I have the Form 1 signed and waiting for the serial when the gun comes in hopefully in a few weeks.

Just FWIW, I have an SBR MP5K, but I can see this one taking its' place a lot more regularly.

And if I can find a thread adapter for it, I'll also use my F1 suppressor on it as well.

IMO - waste of money. But my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it... :-)

March 04, 2017, 01:44
Reviving a necro because I have to eat my words - I bot one this week and my opinion was wrong, great gun - tons of fun.

March 04, 2017, 06:21

Crow Eater which did you buy the rifle or pistol?

March 04, 2017, 08:36
Keep your eyes opened. PSA had these for $659.99 shipped earlier this week. Could come back in stock at any time - who knows?

March 04, 2017, 08:57

I wonder if there is a gen 2 of the Scorpion coming down the pike, or is it PSA just blowing them out?

March 04, 2017, 09:32
I threw down for a gen 2 pistol in FDE - terrible trigger but other than that I love it, def. needs to be SBRd. Bot one of these in the mean time:

Just remeber guys --- By the time you buy one of these "Scorpion" things, and SBR it with a suppressor, you are now ~$2,000 invested in being the proud owner of a gun that is on two pieces of federal paper, that needs a permission slip to cross state lines, and shoots slow bullets with a rainbow trajectory.

A .410 gauge single barrel is a half-step behind you.

 "What ya shootin' there buddy?"
:love:I got me a 9mm rifle!

Its probably a helluva porcupine gun at 20 yards though.
You'll ge the coolest porcupine-slayer on the campground.

WEG up your meds. You're coming across broken and stupid. Luv Ya.

I have 2 of them, 1 is NIB being put away for my son when he turns 21.

Just throw a brace on it & you have yourself a fun little range toy, that almost anyone can afford, same thing can't be said for the H&K copies.
It's super fun, & UBER cool!!! Thank you CZ!!

Thanks for the Heads Up on the sale at Palmetto Armory, I will keep my eyes open for it when I have some extra money. The EVO pistol I have has the brace and a small streamlight and red dot sight. It is amazing. I can't recommend these enough. And as far a 9mm having trajectory of a rainbow my wife was shooting Winchester white box 115 and at 100 and 200 yards the accuracy seemed fine for having a red dot.

Looks like fun.

Don't like it, don't buy it.

The scorpion is pretty accurate.

Running gongs is pretty easy with a dot or even plain irons.

Thank you

I mean, it might be fun, but practicality ain't its strong suit.

You guys seem to enjoy them, that's cool. Not remotely my cup of tea, but so what :)

Was able to get a Carbine version with the faux supressor. Very accurate and easy to manage for the wife and first times shooters. No recoil what so ever. Great to see their faces light up as they can take out steel plates in short order.

March 07, 2017, 09:27
There are 13 countries using this "range toy" for their militaries or police. This weapon has so many positive features it will win you over if you give it a chance.

March 07, 2017, 09:42
We'll... just picked up a Kel Tec sub2000 in .40, (been exploring the pistol cal carbine thing), interesting, surprising amount of recoil for a pistol rd, fairly accurate for the first time out (indoor range 70' max) - compared to the EVO it feels pretty cheap, takes 22rd factory Glock mags. The EVO is heavier and more expensive but much much nicer, I can see trowing the Sub2000 in the trunk or using it as a truck gun but it's still a $400+ firearm. They both fit pretty comfortably in a smallish back pack. I don't know about this concept for HD yet but they are FUN range guns.

The old Scorpion subgun....super cool. The new Scorpion handgun...ddddddddddumb

Ever hear of an armbrace?

I love mine.

Sorry. :)

My brother acquired a Scorpion EVO about the same time I did, and went the SBR route (with a supressor). For $200 (plus another $200 for the can tax) and a roughly six month wait, his stock (a Magpul CTR) is a little nicer, has the advantage of being adjustable, and no legal "gray area" ;) . For me, I have no regrets about the route I took. For anyone contemplating one of these, i definitely recommend the SBR or "armbrace" option. Just leaving it as a pistol leaves a lot to be desired.
