got a bud who has his first 60 coming soon & as a gift i'd like to give him a U.S. army technical manual, preferably a TM 9-1005-224-23&P may 1998 book. cant find a real paper book on the internet anywhere, just pdf e-books. would also like to pick up a new complete m60 bolt. e-mail me if you have anything.

I will look when I get home. I know I have a some sort of manual for the m-60 that I got from my dads office when he was a 1st sgt. It in not a 1998 copy, probably one from the 80's. I will let you know Monday what I find.

well thanks for looking into the manual, they used to be everywhere but everything has gone internet now. i'd much rather have a real book to look at then have to scroll thru my i phone researching something.
i know there is a few places selling the new complete bolts but i thaught i'd throw it out here in the forum & see if we might find a deal or a trade. my friend that's getting the 60 has a bunch of de-milled fal's sitting in his garage, that might make for some kind of a trade here on the fal files !

This is the book I have

TM 9-1005-224-24

July 1987

Organizational, direct support, and general support maintenance manual for
Machine gun 7.62-mm, m60 w/e

Mount, tripod, machine gun, 7.62-mm, m-122

And

Machine gun 7.62-mm, m60D/E

I would rate the book as very good or better given it's history.

Let me know if this is something you can use and we can go from there.

thanks tom, the manual that i have (TM 9-1005-224-23&p) has printed on it that it supersedes copy dated july 1987, that's yours. probably not a big deal, maby they recamended lsa rather than clp. your manual would certainly work for me / us.
lets enter into some negotiations, $ , gun parts, anything in particular you need gun related ? i dont think we have any airplane parts !

Mine are also the 87 versions, so if you've got the updated one in PDF, can you send me a copy - I'll just go down to FedEx office and print it. I mean - that's the point of PDFs right?
