Here is a pic that some of the old timers will know parts used. Yes it falls in my E.J. Hoffschmidt circa 1974 as being the real thing as far as the frame. Didn't make any difference at the time or for certain not now. Don't guess you could round up some of the stuff now as rail and light. Yup, I do that.
My companion for many years is much the same, but maybe not as pretty. It consists of a common as dirt Rem-Rand slide now equipped with Millet sights sitting on the lower half of what was once a SS AMT Hardballer 1911.
I added a Beavertail myself to keep the old wide spur hammer from taking a blood sample and just because they look so cool.

Great pistol and some rare parts there and I'm jellis of the front strap checkering.. Looks like a "keeper" to me.
