I am looking at getting some good quality irons for my 10/22. There are two choices I am looking at. Nodak spuds and tech sights. My issue I am having is that I like the features on both but neither truly fit my need. I want an AR Type sight system but also want to be able to mount a micro sight on it....eventually. first I want to know if I could mount a nodak spuds rear sight and base combo to a tech sight front sight. Lastly can I change the guts on the rear to that of the tech sight rear?
Thanks guys.

Another option - check out the 50th contest winner edition rifle, it comes with peeps as well.

Also, are you using a factory carbine barrel or a aftermarket thin/medium/heavy?

I have seen and played with that gun on many occasions. In fact I was messing around with one at my work and broke the left rear sight fin:angel:
I am using on this one a factory taper standard barrel.

This is almost an exact duplicate of the AR sights..

I know. Another thing I dont like about the tech sight is the lift from the receiver in the rear

Williams makes a very nice receiver mounted aperture sight.

NVM, sounds like the williams will not fit your needs.

Williams does make an aperture rear sight that fit on the 10/22 receiver. Actually, they make two different models, the 5D and FP series for the 10/22, and a Lyman 17A front sight with the standard sight insert package would be a really good setup for doing target work or shooting Appleseed events.

Another option for you:

I like the AK style front site, but the rear adjustments are a little different.

Still make them. Owner might even shoot you an email to see how you like 'em after a few weeks.

You may want to consider going with the Nodak-Spud NDS-26 or 37 series of sights for the 10/22. If I were going to buy a new set of sights these would be the ones I would use. http://www.nodakspud.com/NDS-22.htm
