Sent my brand new G21 off to ZEV back in Aug of last year for some mods...
Took a LOT longer then I expected but it's done and finally came back...

Range report ASAP, prob next week I hope...

Had the slide machined and beveled, Ft cocking serrations added, "Don't Tread on Me" etched on both sides of the slide, ZEV Fulcrum Kit installed, ZEV Gen4 Mag release, and a full stipple job...

Looks great, feels great, trigger is real nice....

The stippling is great, they also do a pretty aggressive grip tape kinda thing and both feel good but I chose this option.. Not sure how they do it but I'm sure it's not with a soldering iron or a wood burner.. :p
Still waiting on the bipod mount and grenade launcher bayo combo.. :whistling:

Thanx Andy, I like it and was pretty selective with what I had done.. I wasn't looking for one of the ZEV Racy looking blinged out guns but a much more subdued working/carry piece with just a bit of personalization..

YES NO SHIT!!! Seems me and .45's do have that history huh..

I've never been a fan of modifying stock Glocks aside from ghost-triggers and night sights but that 21 looks slick and very well done! Give us a range report

don't listen to some of these guys Mike. that Glock looks great. I like that Gadsden flag snake too.

the ones that don't like Glocks are just jealous or haven't shot one. Glock are great pistols, one of the best and certainly not ghey. only thing I like better is a Sig.

is that a ported barrel on it? I see that the slide has been cut.

anyway let us know how it shoots.

I don't pay much attention to the haters but understand they are entitled to an opinion even if it's wrong..
Crocs are FOR SURE Ghey, GLOCKS not at all.. But SLOW doesn't have that name for no reason..

It's (the barrel) not ported, I've shot some ported barrels in low light and the flash can be a problem, plus on a couple guns it shit crud on the ft sight...

The gun was only a couple weeks old when I sent it off but it shot great which is why I decided to do some specific mods to the gun.. I chose things I felt would enhance the overall use of the gun and not stuff just for the bling factor.
I fully expect it will shoot as good or better and hope to find out very soon..

I like GLOCKS they are great pistols, very well thought out, reliable and accurate. Bought this 21 about he same time I purchased a GEN4 34 and GEN4 35, all three have been great.. I also have 2 SIG 220's and they are indeed excellent pistols..

Yea I thought the Gadsden Flag would be a nice addition.. :whiskey:

Thanks Capt'n..

Mike
Is that hole in the slide for weight reduction then?

That was part of the plan yes.. I note very little muzzle flip with the G21 so I figured it wouldn't effect that much.. ZEV knows how much weight/mass can be removed before a diff recoil spring is needed so I'll be good there too...

There was also a desire to have something different then a standard G21 as well as having this pistol similar to the G34 and G35 which have their slides machined in a similar way.. Albeit with longer barrels of course..

ZEV does some crazy/cool stuff for GLOCKS and if someone wants a crazy looking space gun they can do pretty much whatever ya want..
I did want something less pedestrian for sure and that played a role, I didn't have any desire for a really tricked out pistol however..
I know it's not for everyone but I like it just fine.. I do wish it wouldn't have taken so long but oh well it's done now..

The thing I hate about Glocks is you just can't do much with them except shoot them and carry them.

I've cleaned my Glocks occasionally, but it always seemed like I was just fingerfucking them for no particular benefit.

That stippling looks sharp-edged enough that it might grab shirt-lint, so you'll have to keep up with that.

There is very little (if anything really) one needs to do to a GLOCK to make it better this is true.. The guns are excellent as is there is no question about that..

I won't profess that anything I did "needed" doing it was very clearly done as a personal choice to enhance a couple things I wanted different.

I will say that one place the GLOCK CAN be improved however is the trigger and if one hasn't tried the ZEV Fulcrum triggers I might suggest you do, they really are the best trigger available for your GLOCKS.. This one has the complete ZEV kit installed and as such includes a S/S skeletonized striker, it is "alleged" to be beneficial but I won't go so far as to say that in of itself is really needed..

http://www.glockworx.com/Default.aspx

I'll keep an eye on the stippling and how it reacts with clothing, I can't give any testimony about that just yet but I can say the grip itself is great..

Sick looking Glock you got there. I just ordered a set of vicker's sights http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Vickers-Elite-Battlesight-for-Glock-Black-Serrated/productinfo/669B/
My high speed Ranger buddy has a set and he says they are super quick acquisition. 3 diff front sights depending on preference.

Anyone see Pat Mac's video? Guy is a beast and is using that Salient Glock HLP posted:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ToL-uRsWuU8

I use truglo Tritium fiber Optics (TFO) on my competition and carry guns. The only time they are undeperforming is near dusk, but that is true of virtually any sight. (There's not enough sunlight for the fiber optics to shine and not dark enough to see the tritium well.)

Very nice!
Are you running a compensated barrel?
Got my 21 compensated, that's what they had when I wanted one, near no loss in FPS and does it reduce recoil and time on target for follow on rounds!
Makes a real difference in fast second rounds.

THANKS!!
I'm really pleased with this pistol..

Just using the stock OEM barrel in all my GROCKS at this time..
I have shot some of the Compensated guns and YES they DO work very well reducing both muzzle flip and recoil..

I've some reservations using a compensated gun for anything but range use. Might could see myself getting another barrel at some point but it would be a toss up between a comp or a barrel that allows me to shoot lead?
Don't know what I may end up doing with this gun as far as the barrel but I know for sure I want to swap the sights very soon..

Did you replace the slide too or have the OEM slide milled out above the comp?

OR, did you get the barrel for your 34 or 35?

Mine was factory comp, has the cuts/slots cut in the top of the slide already, just dropped in the barrel and off she went.
I'd used Lone wolf barrels before, really are drop in.
All I use in my 357 sig EDC guns, the chamber supports the brass better than factory glock and I get three or four reloads from brass before it goes ass up.

Check out KKM Barrels, they have a extremely good rep around here, although not quite well known as Lone Wolf. They have a huge selection of variations for each caliber and have some better reviews than Lone Wolf. Plus they make Barrels for many other gun models.

Here >> http://www.kkmprecision.com/

I'm a bit partial to them because they are made about 20 minutes away from where I live. I vist the shop and I'm blown away how sofisticated their shop is. I'm tempted to get 357. Sig barrels or some of my 40. Glocks, which require only changing the barrel for the switch, for the 357. swap 40. mags work just as well for the designated 357. barrels
