ok guys, I jumped off the deep end, I sold all my carry pistols (Taurus) and am forcing myself to move to a better gun.

on the sig 220 I need a real fast crash course, my main question is do all the mags interchange between new and old and what else do I need to know before buying not less than 3 sig 220's

I'm no expert on mags, but they should all work. I have a Two Tone 220 and I love it. I had a trigger job done by SIG and it is the nicest shooting pistola I have. Buy one now!!!!

The only hangup with standard 220 magazines is that some are for heel release and those will not lock into the standard release pistols absent some gunsmithing. There were a couple of shorter 220 variants made that have a reduced capacity, so those won't fit a standard 220.

Also, P220's were offered in 9mm, .38 Super and 7.65 Luger. If you end up with one of those magazines, you'll probably be able to flip it for a profit as they're less common than the .45 ones.

I have 2 P220's-a steel frame .45 with a Bar-Sto barrel that Gunplumber put together and a .38 Super US release. Great shooting pistols.

Welcome to a very good shooting pistol. I doubt you will ever look back. To me Sig is like Ferrari. And the info on mags above is correct as I know it.

have one and its a great pistol, but not as accurate as my 1911 kimber. maybe if I shoot it more I can get that good.
