Never seen this happen before. Plastic part of shot shell pulled loose from brass while ejecting. Took me about a minute or so to clear the jam. Could be a bad situation if it happened at the wrong time. Shotgun was a Beretta 1201 FP, ammo was Rem 00 buck. Never had any problems with the shotgun or ammo before. Beware.

Old ammo or new stuff? Got a lot of Remy 00 Buck, don't shoot much of it, but so far so good.

Only shotgun ammo I've had trouble with is target/skeet loads that were reloaded one too many times.

Yeah, could be a bit embarrassing at inopportune times.

Probably 10 years old but stored in cool dry conditions. I was shooting Rem 00, Win 00, and Win 0 buck. Hope it was just that one shell, I've got a bunch of it.

Just thought, but if the chamber hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while, might want to do that. Autos tend to pick up blow-by that you don't see with pumps and doubles.

Yeah I'll do that. Could have been a little dirty. I've still got pistols to clean from that outing. Will clean it real good before I shoot it again.
