Anyone have any experience with the Para Ord single stack 1911s? I've read good and bad reviews, just wondering if any Falers have one.

I've got a Para GI Expert that has digested over 2K rounds with no issues and is the pistol I use for 3-gun (heavy metal) and is also one of my carry guns. If I trust it enough to be #2 carry after my Sig 226 , then I'd have to honestly say It is a very good pistol.

I picked up a Springer stainless instead. NIB $730 out the door. Shoots real nice. I couldn't get past the Para's fiber optic front sight.

My para GI Expert is become my workhorse. I carry and use it in matches against my friends and love it. How does the Springer that you bought run?

2.5 inch group at 25 ft using Blazer ammo. Had to move the sight over to the right a bit. It does have issues with the Blazer ammo. Failure to fire every 10-12 rounds. It fires when struck a second time.

I really like my Para GI Expert SS. It has proven to be very reliable, accurate, and I would not hesitate in using it for any defensive action.
