I recently started putting some of my rifles in a different order and found my old fun to shoot Ranger 101.16's trigger guard to have become brittle (it was plastic)and basically falling apart.

I have searched the net for another but have not had any luck. I read where a Marlin model 81 may be the same, but I could not find one of those either.

Does anybody have an idea of where I could find one? The rifle shoots well, and for those not familiar with them they are a semi-automatic .22 caliber rifle that can also be fired single shot by locking the bolt closed.

For detail oriented people, the rifle does not have a name brand on it, is marked on the top of the receiver as a Ranger 101.16. Numrich gun parts list that model under the J. C. Higgins brand.

Any and all help appreciated
