Its my buddy's gun. Got it from his dad. Its got a strange stock on it, unlike any of the ones I see on the interwebs..

Some bubba-smith drilled all through the receiver like it's cool, and the bolt handle modification can be described as shoddy at best. Also the follower on the internal mag looks like it has been modded to single shot only. My guess is someone lost the mag for it a while back

And the pics don't really do it justice, but the barrel is without a doubt the thinnest I've ever seen.. from what I've read these are 8mm... so that barrel looks like it would get really hot really quick

Anyways, kind of an obscure rifle I came across at my buddy's house so I figured I'd share with the class!

Is there any cool history surrounding these?

I have a weak spot for French Firearms, an unusual little Sporter.

Looks like a sort of nicely done carbine. The stock looks to be a replacement as the originals did not have a pistol grip. Is there a filler plug where the magazine would have been? The 1920 stamp is interesting - I have only seen that on German firearms and had something to do with the treaty of Versaille and firearms in possession of the German forces or police. Privi Partisan does load the 8mm Lebel cartridge which I believe that is chambered for. I wouldn't worry much about the barrel heating up since it is a single shot and will also cool down quickly.

Some take a 3 round en bloc clip. Nice carbine at any rate.
