Does anyone here use these. I tried to find out from sarco if they headspace on the 'rim' or the case mouth. Nobody there knows. Any other suppliers besides brownells. I want a barrel that headspaces on the case mouth. Any help will be appreciated. S Rock

THE best, IMNSHO, are Bar-Sto barrels.

Not the cheapest, by any means, but they are cut correctly, headspace as they should , and are very accurate.

+1. You can't get a much better barrel for a 1911 than a Bar-Sto. I have two 1911's with Bar-Sto barrels, and they both are very accurate.

Thanks guys. Who did the fitting for you and did you start with a stock 1911?

I bought a "drop in " Barrel, link, and bushing set, and just slightly eased the ramp.
Stock Combat Commander.

Easy peasy, but a snug fit.

That was in 1983, tho.
