View Full Version : 1920's Marlin Model 43 Question???

I recently aquired a Marlin 12Ga, pump, with 20 inch barrel.
Nice shape, with 90 years of honest wear.
Shoots really well, with no issues.
I recently shot a box of 25 shells at my old tv, fun stuff!

So, I can only get 3 shells in the magazine tube.
It holds 5 or 6, I believe.

Can someone help me figure out how to get the magazine plug out.

The end of the magazine tube has the pinch type plug.

I'm sure this is easy, but I have no manual and there is very little info out there for this 90 year old shotgun.

There has to be an old Marlin Shotgun Expert out there, I hope!

Don't want to mess anything up.

Finally figured it out.
Found the end of a broomstick in the tube, that was the 3 shell plug.
The old girl now holds 6 shells, much better.
