Other than hold more rounds, what do they do that a Walther won't? Even my PP is really just an underpowered historical curiosity, IMO.

It is currently just shy of 5 bills now I expect it might get closer to $550 once finished.

CZ has discontinued making these so that is partly why the prices are going higher.

We saw one go for $600 just last month.

I don't believe a pre-B 75 will go for any more than that (except the short rail).

Another reason this one might go for more is that few CZ-83 were made in 7.65 Browning (32 acp).

The pistol is unique and discontinued, fun as hell to shoot, extremely well made, and has VERY expensive factory mags - it's a fair deal at $500 with two factory mags.

I'd say those things all apply to the pre-B 75 and to a Walther too.

Yeah - probably, but we're not talking about those pistols:wink:

The PP fits in the same category and it and the 75 meet the same price criteria. I'm sure the 82/83 is an interesting firearm, but it just isn't useful or or historically significant enough for the price from where I stand. I'd say it needs to hit $400 and under to be more realistic, even if the market is getting higher.

Scarcity brother - good luck finding one. I have a Manhurin PP in .32, too many sharp edges, no fun to shoot even in .32. The 83? LOT'S of fun to shoot! it's like putting SIG ergo's on a .32acp - makes no sense but at the same time makes perfect sense when you pull the trigger.

I would NOT want to be shot with a .32 Dynamite Nobel... they MOVE...

The bid is now up to $566! Only 5 hours left one guys seem to have an auto bid so we might see a little more movement before the auction is over with.

Well the bidding is up to $605 that makes two pistols in two months to go for $600, makes me feel good getting mines for just over $400.

Well it went for $615 it seems there were a few last minute bids.

Yeah but,......did you notice that it's the same buyer that bought both of those for over $600? Guess he REALLY likes them.

No I did not look to see if it was the same buyer. Yes, he must really like them to have $1300 into just two pistols. But at lest it is not the same seller so I don't think he is a shill bidder. Also the buyer has only purchased 4 items, a very new buyer who might be looking to start a collection I guess.

I don't think there's anything hinky going on. He's won four auctions,....these two CZ83 .32's and a nickel CZ83 in .380. The fourth auction is too old to pull up, but I think I remember it being a very nice CZ75(I was curious enough about the first $600+ .32 to look). Anyway, just a dedicated collector with some decent money to throw around.

It looks legit. Three different guys bid him up there so there are at least four guys who think they're worth $600+. I'm just not one of them. Might have to put mine on the block,.......there are a lot of better guns I could buy at half the price. In fact, I could buy four of the .380's for what this last .32 brought. I really don't get it.

I agree that I don't see why the price for the 32 is so much higher other than they are commercial and being somewhat rare as most 82/83 were manufactured 380/9x18.
