I watched a zombie type movie on Netflix called "The Guard Post". Lots of Daewoo rifle porn including full auto. Check it out!

Is it any good? (I mean besides the Daewoo porn.)

Added it to the queue. Thanks!

I dialed it in on netflix, watched the first couple minutes, had to stop.(kids not in bed yet) Looks like a decent flick so far. I actually enjoy watching the South Korean films. They are pretty good for the most part.

A couple different airsoft versions used as props if you watch closely.

The plot kinda dragged on and on. I fell asleep.(during a zombie movie)
I may force myself to watch it again, see if it is any better. The gear looks correct at least, and the actors at least sorta look like soldiers.

Are you a "Drama Fever" fan? I spent way too many hours watching the Korean dramas with my wife and daughters. I wound up with some favorites though: Queen Sum Duk, Sparkling, 49 Days, City Hunter and Boys Over Flowers. Their idea of "drama" is often fun and entertaining without the overpowering special effects of 'merkin TV.

If you have a wife and daughters and they like love stories, the above-mentioned ones might be for them. Queen Sum Duk is kind of violent though. Lots of early-history Korean sword fighting stuff. Yall ought to check them out.

No. I watched another South Korean movie on netflix that was actually really good. Set during the Korean war..1950's. Can't think of the name. Fairly recent flick.

I saw a Korean historical drama series a few years ago entitled "The Great Queen Seondeok," which was probably the same series you mentioned. The battle scenes early on in the series were shockingly violent (blood pretty much everywhere) but I rather liked that. Much more honest and realistic than the whitewashed war violence we so often otherwise see. And the performance of actress Ko Hyun-jung as the evil "Mishil" was simply a delight. So smart, so smooth, so ruthless. A frightening woman, and yet you couldn't help but admire her.

If you haven't seen it, by all means check out the Korean (KBS network) historical drama series "The Immortal Yi Soon-shin." Admiral Yi (for those who may not know of him) is usually credited as one of history's greatest admirals, having repeatedly defeated Japan's naval forces in the Imjin War (1592-1598) despite being outmanned and outgunned in every battle. That is one historical drama series that's well worth checking out.

Thanks for the pro-tips on those films. My wife is watching Drama Fever as I type. One reason I got away from them is that they are so addictive. I was working 6-7/10's for months and didn't have the drive to keep up with them, but I will see if I can get those two films on Drama Fever or HULU.

Thanks again,
Jarhead
