I'm going to do a Form 1 for an SBR and shortly there after either buy
or build another Can. Looks like if the paperwork is in motion it most likely
won't be subjected to any new rulings. I've wanted to do an SBR for a while
now and looks like it's going to get tougher and probably more expensive.

If the .Gov has a fiscal shutdown Oct. 1st it won't go anywhere until they get ATFE back to work selling illegal cancer sticks.

I have received numerous phone calls and emails from lawyers who were peddling the NFA trusts.

Not one thinks they will survive. Not one thinks that the existing trusts will not be regulated to require the signature of the Sheriff or a Judge.

Use caution.

Wouldn't that be an ex post facto law?

Wouldn't that be an ex post facto law?

Probably. With the current attorney general, do you really think it matters?

They would not be punishing, taxing or fining you for past acts. It would be a new regulation, so not ex post facto. They would say you legally possessed it, but now must meet other standards or dispossess yourself of it.

It would only matter to the AG staff. The AG is just the boss man, not the maker of policy for the most part. There is a professional staff and a 'political' staff.

You mean like how they lied that Obama Kare would only cost
You a hundred dollars a month? Like that? Or the part where my wife's employer is trying to drop my health coverage?

I'll take my chances now and get in line. It's now or never.
The Mexican sheriff in Harris County will never sign off.
Brazoria County might.

I am always adverse to risk. Therefore I try to eliminate it if possible.

But, you are and adult and it is your decision.

Nope. Regulation. All the inconvenience visited on the law abiding by the ATF are regulations.
