kindof limited traverse. Try a swing-out bar with pintle. Or a bar that will pin to both sides of the door frame with the pintle in the middle, then it cans wing out to either side by pulling one of the two pins.

I haven't found a better mount yet for my PKMs, other than to strap the tripod to the roof.

he's got good traverse IF he can pull the trigger and turn at the same time. his elevation may be another story. i wonder if the ppsh feeds better upside down.

no, i've got good traversing. i can one hand the 60 & drive at the same time. it's got the lighter fluted barrel. just cause it's hangin low doesn't mean it's not mobile. that's transport mode in the pic.

Actually it is a tnw semi auto Suomi. Other than the atrocious trigger pull it's not a bad gun.....for a 14 pound 9mm. Nice pic gun plumber, I could see chuck Norris hanging off that setup in a delta force movie:biggrin:

That doesn't change the fact that Mark was talking about your setup. Tom doesn't have a door frame on his 4-wheeler.

Not trying to be obtuse, just saying Mark was talking about you adding a bar and pintle to the door frame of your ride.

I suppose if Mark swings back through he could clarify. Not that is really matters....

I think he meant something like this - the taxpayer probably paid $7,500, but a talented metalsmith could cobble up something for $250.

Yep. It allows one to fire through a full 180 degree arc. Back when I was a young ninja warrior, we modified jeeps into air-droppable Ranger assault vehicles - mainly for airfield seizures. This was before the Chenowyths (sp?) and the Fast Attack Vehicle (sand rail). Mounting the M60 to the frame iself left a limited field of fire. Something that could swing out even a foot, gave much greater field of fire.

My "roll cage" (door and windshield hanging frame) is not secured to the frame very well. Eventually, I'm going to redo the whole thing.

ratmaster, these dogs are so gunshy that just opening a box of ammo sends em into panic mode. we made the mistake of leaving the blue out on the 4th of july a few years back. he was found a mile away trembeling under someones bushes. we thaught we lost him ! he is one hell of a tracker though. he can find me anywhere. not with his eyes, but with the nose. he'll follow the exact places i've walked with his nose to the ground till he's right at my feet. then he'll look up at me like ( i found ya ) ! i deer hunt at the back of my property & i've got to tie him up when i go or he'll show up sooner or later.

For some reason herding dogs are usually gun shy.

Strangely enough, I had an English Setter just like the one Andy posted above and he came from hunting lines, lots of field trials heritage, but he was gun shy. :? The Border Collie in the pic I posted was a sure bet to be gun shy but he loves everything about guns, he thinks gunfire means dead critters to investigate.

my collie isn't too bad around guns. she doesn't really like them much but all she does is walk about 15 feet behind me and lays down to watch.

whats weird is she is totally fine with fireworks. and i mean the BIG fireworks.

i'm the pyrotechnic for our local july 4th show and one of the perks is saving a bunch of them for my own use. 3" salutes clear up to 6" bombs. they are LOUD!

we'll take them camping and the dog just hangs out and watches like everyone else!

Pity about the early Cushman. They're worth a pretty penny to some people.
Maybe you could use the recoil from the .50 as thrust. Of course you'd be limited to only firing to the rear.
