Man, those things are so butt ugly ya gotta love'em. Mine looks just like yours, it's got character.

I'll have to dig mine out and check the rack number
Indecently, I also have a No.4MK1

That's a nice looking Ishapore. I've enjoyed my 2A, a '65 model. It was a $99 special from AIM. Here's how it looked delivered:

And after cleaning up the furniture and a repaint with Alumahyde II:

I'll post a pic after my cleanup/restore

Hope it looks as nice as yours

Artful, I like the way the metal looks on your rifle. I sometimes wish I'd left mine alone. With a little work on that furniture, you'll have a looker.

a repaint with Alumahyde II:

Texgunner, I am not familiar with that product. Where can you get it, what prep does it need, and I am assuming it is sprayed on. It really looks good

Thanks, Stoner

Delta-3 tell me about scoping it - I was thinking scout scope 'cuz you can revert back to original configuration but if yours doesn't require any drilling and Tapping I might look into that. :D

Mine is drilled & tapped. & I also had to use adjustable rings to get the scope centered as the mount sat slightly left. Quite the little project but it worked out. Drilling & tapping the charge bar was dicey. With the right load, it shoots a pretty nice group.

Mmmm...makes me want some chicken tikka or lamb vindaloo and some 175 SMK's.

I'm going to have to go scout scope or red dot just can't focus like I used too.

If I do my part I can get a couple together out of her but then it's
which way did it go :(

Took mine out yesterday in fact, she shot great as always...
FUN rifles no doubt..

Anyone know where to find proper spare extractors for a 2A?

I remember a clip from the British Dispatches documentary on the Mumbai terror attack. Some of the police force had Enfields but did not fire at the terrorists in view at the train station. Not more than 25-40yds-well within surplus or OFV performance.

Those two shooters went on to ambush a vehicle and unwittingly kill the top Indian anti-terror official as he responded.

Several years ago, I bought one from Numrich. They might still have some?

Numrich or Sarco are the only ones I can think of.
