REALLY nice pistol - accurate, light recoil, EXPENSIVE magazines, would NOT want to be shot with Dynamite Nobel... it runs a bit HOT...

Geeze, What CZ doesn't have spendy or hard to get mags??

The CZ 83 was discontinued in all calibers but .380 quite a while ago, before finally being completely discontinued last year. The surplus CZ-82s are close, but only available in 9mm Makarov.

Yeah the 7.65 is pretty close to unobtainium - A fellow FF took pity on me and sold me his - I found TWO (2) mags for sale in the country when I looked - $55/per.

Jesse - it took me 2+ years of looking... a bro here on the FF sold me his for $250 - needed to have the sights adjusted and the mag was dented - Midway wanted what they wanted for the last two factory new mags IN THE COUNTRY! (that I could find at least) - for a CLEAN gun with NEW mags you're looking at at LEAST $500 - I wouldn't sell mine for that, took too much work to obtain it and I REALLY like the pistol:-) good luck bro, they ARE out there you just have to be willing to spend some time finding one. The few commercial guns left in country were $450, that's what I was offered when I started looking.

Here's my first thread:

http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=329157

I was looking A LONG time before I posted here and I was DEAD WRONG about a good surplus 83 in 32, with good mags! not being worth $500...

The .32 pistols are hard to find, but the mags aren't too bad. Expensive, yes, but available. There are at least half a dozen on GB right now for around $40 for the 12rd aftermarket and $50-55 for the original 15rd. Careful though,.......the large distributor type sellers are actually selling the Skorpion smg mags listed as CZ83 mags,....idiots.

The surplus .32 pistols I've only ever seen offered once,.......AIM had them for a very short while in 2008. I bought two of them for $180 apiece and like a fool instantly sold one off for a $10 profit. Wish I still had it but I suppose one is really enough. I've got several of the .380's for everyday shooters. Nice little pistols. Coles still has a few dozen listed on GB for under $200. The .380 mags are identical/interchangeable with the 9mm MAK CZ82 mags,.......much easier to find,.....but still $25 and up. I've gotten lucky and managed to pick up 5-packs twice for a hundred a pack, but I searched for years for those deals.

The surplus CZ 83 in .32 ACP is pretty much UNOBTAINIUM! I got BALZ lucky to get one, post your ad on ALL the C&R sites! you WILL find one! you may not like the price but you WILL find one.

xxx096 is the one I sold. Rare enough that I wouldn't be surprised the find that it's the one you eventually found.

I should have recommended the Beretta 81 in your original thread. That's another easy shooting .32 that's much more available right now.

Rounded trigger guard surplus or commercial?

Like new, commercial...

So it's the gun with the "hooked" trigger guard - that's not what we're talking about here - we're talking about the rounded guard. What is the availability and price on THAT pistol?.

DYNOMIKE

I have ONE in .32, it's like new and it's commercial don't know that there are two T/G types?..
Cust bought this and a .380 a few months ago.. Didn't shoot either but a few rounds and he sold them back to us a couple weeks ago.. I'm surprised either one is still on the shelf?
Didn't pay attention to the trigger guard but if you need more info then PM me your preferred method of contact and I'll try to look..

That's MUCH nicer than mine but the price reflects the fact it's a commercial gun - If I were still looking I'd probably buy it - if it comes with 2 mags it's a really good price - I paid $250 and another $110 for 2 factory 15's - as I said I wouldn't take $500.

The Gun was originally bought from our shop and I don't know if he shot it all?
Since I don't know for certain I'll call it "like new" which it is..

Original box and two mags are with the gun...

IMHO these are fantastic guns, the .380's may be the best .380 ever although they are kina heavy..

gates
August 07, 2013, 00:13
That, IMO, is a GOOD deal! looks new to me.

The PICS don't do it justice as my phone flash really washes it out..
This customer bought A KADET upper, a CZ85 Combat (stainless), and TWO 83's one being .380, the other the above .32..

In the last two or three weeks he has brought them ALL into the shop and sold them to us.. I bought the 85 and KADET upper from him the other day..

If they sit in the shop very long they may have a new home..

Also IMO the KADET Upper is one of the best shooting .22 Pistols out there let alone conversions.. In that regard I have seen none better..

Ever since Gate started the other thread I have been on the look out for a CZ-83 in 32 ACP to go with my VZ-61.

I bought 1200 round of Priv from Widener's when they had it on sale last summer to shoot from my Beretta and VZ.

I even have die's to reload for this round once I am out of loaded ammo.

Congrats - thats a damned fine example of a DAMNED hard to find pistol in that caliber - I took mine to the gun club today, at 21' it shoots EXACTLY where you point it with Dynamit Nobel - everyone that shoots it wants one:D I tell them to start looking and be patient...

I get to pick it up on Friday and will clean and lube it this weekend.

gates

What I HAVE noticed is that this direct blow back likes to be well lubed or it will start to have FTF issues - at least mine does. Keep everything greased and no problems.

Yes, I am very pleased with the condition considering it is technically a used pistol. I suspect that the previous owner could not find ammo to shoot the pistol before he decided to sell the pistol back to you.:beer:

Up until recently I actually did have ammo in stock most often..

Believe it or not the Guy bought several guns from us last year, and the beginning of this year.. Three of these where CZ Pistols (85 Combat, and two 83's)

He told me he didn't shoot them much (if at all) and decided he would like to move them along and buy a GROCK..

Don't get me wrong as I very much like my GLOCKS but with the price of a GLOCK and the difficulty finding CZ's right now I would have just bought the GLOCK and kept the CZ's..

However his guns his choice, your gain...

No doubt he will get more than the current bid. I thought you would like to see another CZ like yours. My question while this is a Model 83 it has the rounded trigger guard like the Model 82. Could this be a surplus pistol or is it a early model. It does not look like a surplus pistol with the amount of finish it has.

Surplus/transition gun - commercial guns have the hooked trigger guard - I'd be a player on this one if I didn't already have one.

anyone know if the .380/9x18 mags will work in the .32acp pistols ??? KEN

gates
September 14, 2013, 00:36
no - they MAY fit but they won't hold a .32acp cartridge - diameter is too small on the .32, there is a reason the 7.65 mags are so expensive...

Well the bidding is over $630 for the pistol with only one mag.

Dam if I didn't get a deal form Dynomike! :shades:

$631.00 as of this post , a little over 24hrs left , they went by my mad money pretty quick , I have a 9x18 that I love , so I think I will get a CZ83 in .380 while they are still cheap ..

That's stupid money for a $250 pistol, but it's an NR bidder and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that it's a shill.

gates
September 17, 2013, 20:06
You're probably right but I wouldn't sell mine for $500 - took too damned long to find one, that and the stinking mags are $50/per.

Arguably they are legitimate bidders up to $300, but after that it's a battle between an NR and a one feedback bidder going up into the stratosphere. Sure,......I'm buying that. Not.

I passed on a cz83 in 32 several years ago...wished I had'nt now of course. I did though get a Vzor70 in 32. It's a solid heavy thing , but it shoots good. Got two mags with it . Peice is dated '81 on the slide. Both mags have a not so cool plastic walther PPK like floorplate finger thingy...don't much care for that. Anyone know where a holster for my pistol can be found ?.
