I ahve a question that you all probaly can answer, when the cylinder is open I am wondering how much play there is suppose to be moving it towards the front of the gun then towards the back, I hope you all get what I am trying to say

I dont know the term that is proper for this, but after looking more and a bit of common sense, I didnt think about the cartridge has a rim , any how when its closed there is nice and tight, no play.

I believe it locks at both ends on the SP101, so it should be tight when closed. Endshake should only be important when the cylinder is closed, so if you have none perceptible, there's nothing to worry about.

My SP101 is rock solid. The only flimsy, shaky part is the
ejector rod. Can't understand why Ruger made such a strong pistol
and gave it a limp wristed ejector.
