Any reason you can think of why or why not a Spiks Tactical 12 inch launcher would mount up on an M&P 15-22? Have no real reason for asking this, just a thought running through my mind, would the plastic receiver take the extra weight??

Not sure why I thought of this, but I did. Lots of interesting things have come about from people who disregard "why"

Kind of like the old Savage combo gun: rifle on top shotgun underneath.

Except the first time you use it as a shotgun, it's an unregistered DD.

The other thing I can think of off the top of my head is the 15-22 is not designed for it, being a polymer receiver and all.

I have an old Cobray 37mm on a Colt HBar and the mounting system is just a few clamps and shims for the barrel. I'm don't know much about the mounting of Spikes launcher. I'm not sure if the dimension of the barrel on the S&W .22 are to the same spec as the .223 barrels. I've seen a picatiny type adapter used on 37mm launchers, so if you have a railed handgaurd you could just attach it that way. I get a kick out of my 37mm, I could see having fun with a 26.5mm adapter on an MP with a launcher.

Night hunting squirrels - light 'em up with a flare first, then zap 'em with .22.

I'll be in town all week. Try the chicken.

I don't know about a DD but it would be an AOW or a SBS if its under 18". Which it more than likely would be. So it would have paper on it.

Airsofters have been doing this for years.

Considering your .22 is an airsoft gun with .22LR guts, this should not be a problem.

The Spikes Tactical is a rail mounted setup, just screws onto the rails.was just wondering about the weight, but I think it would work. Hmmmmm
