I was looking at the Vepr 12 at Atlantic Firearms today here:

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/vepr-12-gauge-shotgun-pre-order-detail.html?Itemid=0

and came across this caveat in order form:

Molot Factory AK adjustable rear sight with Hinged dust cover with a picatinny rail (may require adjustment by the end user or Wolf Arms if not alligned properly)

Why the hell would you sell a gun for that much with that may or may not have F'ed up parts...worst thing would be is that you have to fix it yourself or pay someone to fix it.. Ughhh.

I got one a while back from Mississippi Auto Arms when they where $999. I did not have the problem with the canted rail. From what I've read, it's hit or miss. They used a plastic rail on the metal cover. The shotgun is imported by Merlot. Unless you use a magazine larger than the 5 round, they do not have to be 922r complient. I hear that Wolf will correct the problem under warrenty if you do get a canted rail. I have nothing to say bad about the shotgun. They are built well and in MHO second to none in this class. There is a forum that goes into greater detail. I think it's Saiga-12 or something like that.
