Well if I can get the cash together...

I have locally for sale(well local-ish) three SIG55X options.

First is an older SIG556,AR style stock and fishgill furniture, looks to be a safe queen.$1250.

Second is a unfired SIG556R,SIG red dot, this might be sold already but wanted $1550.

Third just popped up.SIG551-a1.Comes with six mags,Bushnell red dot as well as diopter sights, accessory rails on handguards with forward grip.$1200.

Heavily leaning towards the 551 but still open to any advice.

I have a 551A1 model great rifle. Sounds like a fair deal with 6 mags. Mine shoots well only thing bad is it throws the brass a long way. So if you reload you will be looking for your brass.

Well the 551 might end up being a scam, waiting to see.

The advantage of the 556 is it uses AR mags. I have the same one you mentioned with the fishgill handguards. lower serial number ones are German built with just the minimum of US parts. US made starting around serial number 10000, ones can have quality issues. For the 556R find out if it is Gen 1 or 2. Gen 2 rifles are good, gen 1 can have quality issues. The prices seem high but now a days who knows. Bought my 556 with troy battle rail and sights, KNS pin... (about 400-500 in aftermarket parts) for 950 about a year ago.

Check out the 556 forum for more info

551 is out.
Both the other rifles are available.
I already have a 556,and did end up with 1320 rounds of 7.62x39 and nothing to shoot it in so the 556R might be a good idea except for the price being high.
