While working the action on the wheel gun I noticed that fairly regularly the mechanism would lock up and not rotate the cylinder. It didn't happen every rotation but at least every other rotation.

I would have to reset the cylinder with a little wiggle and then the mechanism would rotate and lock back.

Any ideas out there on what is causing this and the remedy?

New model, or three screw ?

Call Ruger, they'll send you new parts. I had one that needed a new loading gate. Easy fix.

Your cylinder "timing" is off and maybe your cylinder stop is worn. Email Ruger for a Return Authorization #. You'll then have to overnight the gun to Ruger in Newport NH and they will fix it, maybe for free.

I need to swap out the cylinder and this should give me an idea if it is the cylinder or the internals. After work.
