Came accross this on another board and it looks like this company is revisiting the DP series of woos:

It even looks like a 'Woo!

Meh. If you ask me, somebody at "Lionheart" needs a kick in the Lionhead.

Why would you duplicate the DP51 and not correct the need for dovetailed front sights?

And then, have an MSRP of over $600?

I think that I paid $200 for my Daewoo made DP-51.

The best thing that can come out of this is that the parts hopefully interchange with the original DP51 and that they make a ton of 13 round mags that work in the DP51. Mags? Those I will buy. A $600 DP51? Nope - even if actual cost is more like $475-500.

Looked some more around their website. Appears that they are a South Korean based company, probably not distantly related to Daewoo, if not actually Daewoo, just renamed. So I would suspect that all parts and mags would be interchangeable.

Odd though that the pictures of the magazines on the website all appear to be capacity blocked magazines. 10 rounders I presume.

You can still scoop slightly used ones for under $300, I think Sarco still sells them. Good to see new ones coming in, but the price point is a bit high compared to other guns on the market.

Its a DP51 manufactured by daewoo.
Unfortunately Korean labor costs are not the same as it used to be, so you will never see another 300 dollar DP51 again.
Its still overpriced though, for cheap bells and whistles, IMO.

I got to shoot one over the weekend and it is cool! The double action decock and hammer reset feature is very curious. What do you guys think of the double action trigger pull and its little hammer flip?

Yep, that "Fast-fire" trigger is why I bought my 51C. It was my first ever firearm purchase back in '98. I think paid in the $350 range for it.
