Yes, I have legally taken mine to hoghunt...magazines are limited to 5 shots during some seasons, but not all seasons.."Some areas allow no rifle hunting." You really need to read the regs from that state, to be positively legal..

Arizona no longer has a 5 round limit.

George took this Coyote with Hornaday 110g TAP (when we were limited to 5 rounds).

Keep in mind that most of the laws and regulations on hunting are set by the individual fifty states (and also by cities, towns, and counties in those states).

I live in the state of Virginia (Cradle of the Bill of Rights) and some counties permit any firearm to hunt most game (minimum caliber/ muzzle energy specifications for some types of game). Some counties permit only shotguns, some allow only rifles in .22 rimfire for hunting small game.

Virginia has no magazine limit for hunting, and no restriction on using semi-auto rifles or shotguns. (There is a Federal Law that limits shotguns to three shells when hunting migratory gamebirds.)

P.S. A lot of US gun-owners know at least two words in Greek:

MOLON LABE!

I've deer hunted with one of my StG's and my Argy. I've taken two whitetails with the StG. I hunt in the part of Minnesota where you can use a rifle. There is no limit to how many rounds you can have, but I use a 10 round DSA mag with 5 rounds on board. 168 gr Nosler ballistic tips in front of 44.5 gr of IMR 4320 I believe. I'd have to look it up and I'm too lazy.

I had the Argy loaded with factory 150gr Hornandy SST's. Things are supremely accurate out of that Argy. Had lots of deer wander by, but not the right one.

If it is raining or snowing I carry one of my traditional rifles, a bolt action .308 or a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. They are $400 rigs. My FAL's are too precious to get wet I guess.

I'm old enough now that I don't give a sh_t whether I shoot a deer or not. The camp gets plenty of meat. I had irons on the Argy on two basket racks last fall and didn't pull the trigger. Got the heart rate up to 150 though

I'm really keen on doing some hog hunting. Gotta try that soon. :fal:

Each state has it's own hunting regulations and they are prone to change at any time. In my state you can hunt with a FAL no problem.
