i traded someone on the SIG foru my fishgills for his Swiss style,like them much better,now just need to get a Swiss style folder,some iron sights,and I should be set.

I don't understand why everyone is so down on the fish gill guards on their SIG 556? I like mine, they give the rifle a distinct look, and a grip pod fits on real good.

Im glad you liked your set, but the term "distinct", is often confused with "ugly as hell".

Oz in SC dont be to quick to change the stock. SIG developed that stock so it would be adjustable for use with body armor. Its a smart design. Ive heard rumors it was designed because they lost a contract because the regular SIG-550 stock isnt adjustable.

I found the fishgill handguard made the rifle too front heavy for me. The swiss still handguards made for better balance.

you can still put small rail for flashlights on the swiss style handguard so I was set.
