I have been called many things by many people during my career as a lawyer. I believe that my newest moniker is "a blind hog finding an acorn". I am no expert on Finn MN rilfes by ANY stretch of ANYONE'S imagination but I have lucked into, (or stumbled into, depending on who you ask), a couple of neat Finn 91/30's in the last two weekend gun shows without looking for them.
I came across a SA stamped 1934 Hex receivered Izhevsk 91/30 (all matching but the buttplate) with about 15% blue yesterday totally by accident. I have not had the receiver out of the stock yet to see the tang date. Stock was a one piece potbelly style with a deep Tula star with 1929 under it cartouche in butt stock along with the usual acceptance/proof stampings. One lonely dog collar. Wood was at least 85%. All it's gonna need is a good wipedown and it will be good to go.
The owner told me that he liked the short barrel ruskie rifles a lot better 'cause they weren't so heavy.
$75 cash OTD. Last week's was a trade so I have a little more in this one but I am a happy camper! :D

Yes, they are out there, but I've had more luck stumbling across them than looking hard (the blind hog analogy, for sure). Found a Puolustuslaitos-marked 91/30, a 28/30, and a very nice Swede 38 at pawnshops within 100 miles of you over the past couple of years. Congratulations on you new acquisition.
