I got one of the new, inissued and noticed that on the side of the receiver it is marked "Preduzece 44." Does that mean the recievers were made then, or is it because these were presumably made on the German machinery left there after the war?
Also, the claim is that the stocks are teakwood, however, I got mine degreased and being a woodworker I believe that mine's walnut. There's lots of color streaks and some nice figure.

Factory (loose translation..also known as public enterprise) 44. It is the factory designation. The factory was blown into oblivion by NATO bombers a few years back.
