Century is currently running a sale on their C&R U-Fixum firearms. They also have cut the shipping on these considerably. A total of 10% off listed price can be had, but the C&R U-Fixum pistols must be sent to an FFL because they are not C&R eligible? I asked and the reply was that since they are not in complete or otherwise operating condition all these C&R pistols are not C&R transferable. Go figure.
Thought I'd pass it along.

I don't know who your rep is at Century but thats not correct about shipping a ufixem to a C&R FFL holder. I have bought both pistols and rifles with mine. If I were you I would ask for another rep.

bookertbab,
Seems kind of strange doesn't it? I've purchased U-Fixum rifles, but never pistols from them before.
I've been through 3 reps so far in the past year and just have to rely on what the Century help desk tells me. Again, that's what they told me, but maybe a different rep would have a different take on this matter.

Are you sure the pistol you want to purchase is actually a C&R? They have some pistols listed in the ufixem section that are not C&R , like the P38. I found this out by trying to order one when I saw them for $159, and my rep said sorry those aren't C&R but he sold me a Ballester Molina for $99. It was a sweet deal too, wasn't missing any parts, just had no finish left on it and needs reblued. I'm thinking about ordering a CZ50 also, I heard they were in pretty good condition and for $49 how can you go wrong.

I just got a Ballester U-Fix-Em from them two weeks ago on my C&R. Great piece, cleaned it up, added some grips, and it digested 50rds of mixed .45 with no problems.
I also got some of their M44's. No front sight post or cleaning rod. Otherwise, pretty good. Helluva muzzle blast!

OK. So I talked to a couple of dipsh*ts at Century. I'll try again in the morning for somebody there who knows what they are talking about.
I would like to pick up a couple of the Ballester .45's at that price. Heck, I think CDNN still have grips for these pretty cheap.
Thanks for the info guys....my mistake (theirs).

Found the UFIXEM area but no prices listed. Where'd you find those?

You have to have your FFL on file with them, then they send you a ID and pass code to access the dealer section of the website that has the pricing.

bookertbab,
I was looking at those CZ50s also. Only problem is I couldn't find many parts for them on the web aside from firing pins and grips. Anybody know of good parts sources for the CZ50? I asked on the Guns Network C&R forum a while back but got no answer.

Sesh, I really don't konw of any part source off hand. From what I have read of people who got these all they needed were grips, but that doesn't mean if we order a couple they won't be missing other parts. It's a crap shoot when you buy a ufixem, I'm still not sure if I want to take a chance or not.

CZ50s are gone. So are many of the Ballester .45's. They are the same as the CZ70 except for the addition of a firing pin block.
Desirable U-Fix-Ems go pretty quick. New list due out tomorrow or the next day. Look at it and get your order out quick before the big dealers suck up the bargains.

That company is so f'ing annoying. If you don't have an FFL password, you can't access sh*t for info, other than the fact that they have several items in stock. No descriptions, no prices.
I don't want to bother my $15/transaction FFL to call them about every item I _might_ be interested in.

They have decent prices on most everything, but I completely agree with Engineer...usually a hassle to deal with.
